On-the-go Translator app for android
We want to travel to different places and explore
new things. We all know, not all people speak English. But you don't need to worry, along with the many
android phone applications and widgets is the Google translate application.
Communication could make or destroy your holiday or travel experience. What if
you get lost in a place and you haven’t been there before? See what I mean?
It is a help to have an instant translator in cases like this and I don’t mean a real
live walking, talking translator. I am referring to your android phone.
Let me give you a quick overview of this On-the-go
translator app. The Google Translate app
can translate words and phrases from English to about sixty other languages.
This application also has a voice simulated feature so you can hear how the words are being
pronounced., you can even save phrases in your phone so you don’t have to retype
it the next time you need it. This
app is easy to use and does not take up a lot of space and time learning this app. Just type in the words or phrases in English
or any other language you want and choose from a list of languages found in the
dropdown menu. After that you can see the translation you want automatically.
It has additional dictionary for words or phrases with multiple definitions.
In my opinion, On-the-go translator app is handy
if you want to learn a different language. I am currently learning a new
language and I have this really big dictionary at my house but I occasionally use it
for basic translations. I just use Google translate app for quick translation.
But if you are writing an article or using idioms and what not,
double check with a dictionary because they usually translate those literally.
And if you travel a lot this android app can help in asking for directions,
communicating with the people around you. The audio feature of this app really helps
too. You can communicate better if you know how to pronounce the words
correctly; if not, people will just probably laugh at you. You could easily find someone who speaks
English but I would feel easier if I had this On-the-go translator in my phone.
I also use this app when I’m just sitting on the couch or when I am too lazy to get up
and read my language books. I just navigate through my saved phrases and listen
to them. I can learn a language at my own convenience.
